Today, I thank God for the precious gift of my Peyriyappa — a man who has been more than an uncle to me; he has been a father, a guide, and a living blessing in our family.
He is the elder son of the family, the third child overall, born into a home blessed with many siblings — two elder sisters, many younger sisters, and two younger brothers. In the midst of such a large family, responsibility came to him at a very young age.
When the family went through financial struggles, he did not step back. Instead, he stepped forward. He stood beside his father and mother, carrying burdens far beyond his age. He worked hard so that his sisters and brothers could study, grow, and build their lives. Like the Bible says:
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
He truly lived this verse.
He moved to different places across India, adjusting to new cities and new challenges, all for one purpose to earn and support his family. Sacrifice was not just something he did; it was the way he lived.
God blessed him with two sons and two daughters. Yet, in his heart, there was always space for one more me. I never felt like just his brother’s son. He always made me feel like his fifth child. His love was not limited by relationship titles; it overflowed with kindness.
“Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” – Proverbs 17:6
He has been a crown and pride to our family.
In every struggle of my life, he stood beside me. He guided me when I was confused, corrected me when I was wrong, encouraged me when I was weak, and celebrated me when I succeeded. Even today, his words carry wisdom, and his presence brings strength.
“The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” – Proverbs 20:7
I truly believe our family is blessed because of his integrity, sacrifice, and prayers.
Peyriyappa, you are not just a part of our family history — you are the reason our family stands strong today. Your sacrifices built foundations we now stand on. Your love shaped who I am.
Thank you for being my guide.
Thank you for being my strength.
Thank you for loving me like your own child.
You are truly God’s blessing to our family, and I will forever be grateful. ❤️
