This memorial tribute was created in memory of our loved one, Mary CV. We will remember her forever.
Today, I stand here with a heart full of emotion — sadness because I miss my mother deeply, but also great pride because I was blessed to be her son.
My mother was not only a nurse by profession, but a nurse by heart. Nursing was not just her job; it was her calling from God. She spent her life helping others without looking at the time and without thinking about her own comfort. Day and night, she cared for the sick, comforted the suffering, and stood beside those who needed hope.
The Bible says,
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40.
I truly believe that in serving every patient, she was serving Christ Himself.
For nearly 23 years, my mother carried the pain of breast cancer. It was a long and difficult journey, but through all those years, I never saw her lose faith. Instead, her faith became stronger. She trusted God completely and had deep devotion to Mother Mary. She always believed that Mother Mary was walking with her through every treatment, every painful moment, and every difficult day. Like Mother Mary stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, my mother carried her own cross with courage and surrender.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity.” — Proverbs 31:25.
That verse reminds me of her. Even in weakness, she was strong. Even in pain, she was peaceful.
“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her.” — Luke 1:45
She believed. She trusted. She never complained.
My mother did not leave behind money or property for me. She did not store up wealth in this world. But today I understand — she gave me something far greater. Through her service, her sacrifices, her kindness, and her pure heart, she earned countless blessings from God. And those blessings became the inheritance for me and my family.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” — Matthew 6:19-20.
My mother stored her treasures in heaven. I truly believe that those heavenly treasures are now protecting and guiding us.
Amma, today I want to say thank you. Thank you for the countless blessings you brought into my life and into our family’s life. Because of your hard work, your sleepless nights, your compassion, and your humble heart, God has been gracious to us. Every patient you helped, every sacrifice you made, every prayer you prayed — all of it has become a blessing for us.
You may not have left us material riches, but you left us faith. You left us strength. You left us a legacy of service and love. The Bible says, “A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children.” — Proverbs 13:22. Amma, the inheritance you gave us is not gold or land — it is faith, prayer, dignity, and divine favor.
I am proud to say I am your son. I am proud of the life you lived. I am proud of the faith you kept. Though I miss you deeply, I hold on to this promise: “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:
You fought your battle bravely. As it is written, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7. You finished your race. You kept your faith.
Amma, your life was a blessing to so many. Your love continues to guide us. Your prayers continue to protect us. Until we meet again in God’s eternal glory, rest in peace. I will always be proud to be your son.
